Description
Mr. Barba is a practicing Civil Engineer graduated from Madrid’s Polytechnical University in 2006 and registered with both Spanish and Tanzanian civil engineer association, CICCP and ERB respectively. He also holds an MBA and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics. He is the current Regional Director for Typsa Africa, and is accountable for overall operation of the business in the continent. Before assuming his last role, Mr. Barba acted as TYPSA Managing Director for United Kingdom and Ireland, being fully accountable for the operations in both countries.
Previously, as Regional Contracts Manager, Mr. Barba was in charge of the management of large scale international infrastructure contracts in the Middle East, mainly in the transport infrastructure sector. While in Middle East, he had a very active role within the Spanish business community in the region. In 2016 he was appointed as Member of the Board of Directors of the Spanish Business Council in the UAE. Mr. Barba has predominantly worked in international markets and has resided in various countries such as USA, United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Colombia or the Democratic Republic of Congo.
